Base move speed 355: only Master Yi has it among 173 champions, just 1.13x the slowest, Rell's 315

Only one champion sits at 355 base move speed, only one at 315. League's base move speed turns out to come in just 8 distinct values across all 173 champions.

Master Yi's base move speed is 355. That number belongs to exactly one champion out of League's 173 — a clear step above even the seven champions tied for second-fastest at 350. At the other end, Rell's 315 is the slowest, and she's alone there too. Pulling the real numbers from ddragon, base move speed turns out to use fewer distinct values than any other base stat I've looked at so far.

What base move speed actually is

Base move speed is the raw number at level 1, before boots, runes, or any skill-based speed boost. Unlike HP or AD, it has no per-level growth stat (there's no "movespeedperlevel" field at all) — it's the one base stat that genuinely never changes from the first second of the game to the last.

Only 8 distinct values exist

Tallying all 173 champions, the values actually used between 315 and 355 come in just eight steps.

335 is the most common value with 43 champions — roughly 1 in 4 of the entire roster. The three middle steps (330, 335, 340) alone account for 117 champions, 68% of the cast, leaving only 32% spread across the other five values.

Only one champion at each extreme

ChampionBase move speed
MasterYi Master Yi355
Rell Rell315

Master Yi's 355 is only 1.13x Rell's 315. For an assassin built to dodge fights on foot speed alone versus a heavily armored tank, that's a surprisingly small gap compared to how far other base stats spread apart.

The seven champions at 350 are Jax, Nasus, Olaf, Trundle, Udyr, Illaoi, and Shyvana — names better known for winning long 1v1 duels than for outrunning anyone.

Looking at the 28 champions at 345, names like Akali, Yasuo, Zed, Rengar, Kha'Zix, Lee Sin, Diana, and Fiora stand out — champions built to close distance and finish fights. The 19 champions at 325 lean the other way, with long-range poke like Ashe, Caitlyn, Ezreal, Jinx, Tristana, and Miss Fortune, mixed with hook-and-engage tanks like Blitzcrank and Nautilus. The move speed tiers themselves seem to loosely track whether a champion wants to close the gap or keep it open.

Takeaway

HP spreads roughly 4x between champions, attack speed spreads 1.68x, but base move speed packs all 173 champions into a band just 40 units wide, from 315 to 355. Boots, runes, and ultimates do all the heavy lifting for how fast a champion actually feels, because the base number itself is barely allowed to differ. The fact that Master Yi is the only champion who can out-walk everyone at level 1, before boots, doesn't seem to be common knowledge.
